Your 8-month-old baby is soooo busy! Moving, exploring and learning. They are engaged in more sophisticated interactions and play, meaning you’ll be plenty busy keeping up with your little one! Play time should be much more fun at this stage but, with a short attention span it can be much more demanding on you.
Allow us to help you move through each day with a planned activity or two that will keep your little one engaged and stimulated and take the stress out of play.
Your Baby’s Current Stage: Stage 3 - COMMUNICATION (6-9 Months)
The Happy Little People™ Play Club activities pave the way for communication and understanding. Your baby is beginning to realise they are a separate person from you and is learning about their internal self. Our activities encourage you to communicate with your little one as they recognise and identify their feelings, which are brand new sensations for them. Further, motor skills are rapidly improving as is spatial awareness and their understanding of cause and effect.
At the end of this stage, you will feel confident you have supported your little one through this new stage, built a solid play routine, supported their physical growth and helped your baby gain a sense of emotional intelligence.

The Play Club cards are beautiful and have easily accessible and quick to prepare ideas in each pack. When my first month arrived I spent some time organising the cards to sort which ones we would actually try - I had only put aside 5 by the end (and I would likely come back to these when my baby was a bit bigger!)
All the ideas are simple but have clearly been linked to relevant stages of baby development and cover all different types of play such as sensory, movement, nature etc.
Even though I’m a habitual Pinterest scroller, I often forget to revisit my saved pins or do so too late! These cards keep all the interesting ideas close at hand and mean I always have a cute activity idea ready to go when needed.
My older toddler has loved helping me prepare the activities for her little brother and even joins in on the fun most times too!
